Default need help with rim info for lifted 1500

have a 2007 ram hemi 1500.. 3 in body lift... was told to learn about the "offset" to choose the appropriate rim.. i dont know what to choose, dont know how much of an offset is needed or would be most practical.. my goal.. to put 35's on... I dont mud bog with it or run the crap out of it in the bush, just want it to look good and be able to bring me out fishin n huntin!

i know this isnt an answer but i am looking for the same information. i want to put 35s on my truck but i am still trying to figure out what exact size rims i want/need.

Mods: Debadged, plasti-dip all chrome, 2.5" leveling kit, 10000k HID's, Superchips Flashpaq 3865, red interior LED's
Soon to come: 6" suspension lift, 35" or 37" tires, New rims (undecided), 5% tint all around, LED tailgate bar

First thing you need to do is figure out how wide of a wheel you want. Then the second thing is determin what size tire you want (width and height).
Third thing you need to figure out is how you want you wheel to fit. Sunken in like the stock wheels (inside the fender), flush with the fender, or stick out a bit(and if so how much). Then you can calculate your required offset from that. The lower the offset the further the wheel will be pushed out, and vise versa.
