Default AC cycling between cold and ambient air

I've got a '98 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2 V8 that has an AC issue. It started cycling between cold air and ambient air at random intervals and it has been getting worse. Now it will blow cold air when the engine is cool, but when it heats up it blows ambient air. The compressor clutch is not engaging when it is blowing warm air. I had it serviced and it has the proper amount of R134A. Any suggestions on what to do next would be appreciated.

On YouTube there are several videos concerning the Climate Control, heating & a/c

i suggest that you go to the YouTube site
then type in
heatertreater dodge, they have 3 vids
many other people also have trouble shooting vids that cover the different issues

Thanks for the YouTube suggestion, but I don't think that using HeaterTreater for my blend door will in any way make my compressor clutch start engaging. If it can, please explain.

I was only directing you in the right direction
as i mentioned, there are several videos showing how people have fixed their particular issue, mostly how to trouble shoot your climate control issue(s)

maybe this is closer, youtube has a fix for you, you just need to look around

It sounds to me like your expansion valve. It's a simple fix but it requires the system to be drained, vacuumed, and then refilled.

It turned out to be the clutch on the compressor. I swapped it and the AC is working fine again.
