Isn't there a wieght diff between the rt and a express the only thing diff is a stock express has a 2200 stall and rt has 2600 and my 3.92 gear from its 4.10. There's a introductory vid on YouTube for the express from the ram unit from dodge says the express does 0-60 in 6 secs stock. If I can find it later

I think the express is like 200lb lighter IIRC. Since it has smaller/lighter wheels and less "stuff" in the interior, etc.

Yeah and it also has different suspension but that doesn't really matter much.

I would expect it to be just slightly slower than the RT, especially with 3.92, LSD, CAI, and no muffler, you might be right there with it. A higher stall converter really makes a difference though.

I watched it again I think you're right, ~4 to ~10. So about 6 seconds. And ~4 to ~16 to 90 so about 12 seconds.

Yah a new stall would make a world of diff on this truck. And Only if we had a tuner. Yah those big 22s on the rts don't help. But dodge has to make the rt more flashy to get sales. I like my rims even though there just Chrome caps on a Steel rim. I really can't do much more mods till a tuner comes out like the 180 thermostat and fan mod cause I can't adjust the fan speed . Pretty much the cai and muffler delete is worthless till then.

Well I wouldn't say worthless, but yeah you won't get the full advantage until tuned.

My truck's best is a 7.2 0-60, it was with the SC 93 tune and drop in filter. I was pretty happy with that considering I'm a 4.7L quad cab with big heavy aftermarket wheels/tires.

I now have a ~2,800 stall converter and will soon be doing the exhaust. I'm hoping to get closer to a 6.5 0-60.

You could do an aftermarket higher stall converter for ~$500.

I don't know what labor costs to install one, I did it myself. It took me and a friend ~6 hours. It'd probably take a "pro" that does it often or whatever about 4 hours. It realistically only took us about 4-5 hours since we stopped for lunch and to go to the store.

I got an Edge billet "street edge" converter. I actually bought it used off another member on here. He had it in his 3rd gen hemi and said it was about a 3,000 rpm stall. I was looking for more like a 2,800 stall, in the same converter, and it worked out. It stalls right about 2,800rpm on mine, maybe slightly less like 2,700 rpms.

Nope hardly any difference. When you give it half a pedal or more is when it makes a huge difference, otherwise it's nearly like stock. MPG hasn't changed either. It makes driving funerer ...but doesn't really have any negative side effects. The only thing is if you want to tow say 5,000+ lb then you should probably stay around 2,600 or 2,800 max stall.

Hey fellas the RT wheels (22" wheels but forged) are actually the same weight of the standard 20's (chrome clad) but overall the wheel/tire combo is actually a tad bit lighter than the stock 20s because of the 33" shit years vs the 32" shit years the RTs have.
