^We are comparing to the express aluminum 20" wheels though, not the clads. IIRC they are lighter.

I must say that one of my best friends has a 2011 RT 100% stock, and my brother has a 2011 Express 100% stock, and they are pretty much identical. Surely the RT is a little faster, but if you drove one then the other I doubt you could tell a difference. Also, my brother's express has 3.55's(but IIRC it does have LSD).

I don't get it right all the time but I'm generally right for the most part......As you can see by the spec sheet not even 1 lb heavier (.7lbs)

http://www.dodge.com/bodybuilder/201...tro/twlnwv.pdf

But overall the RT's wheel and tire combo is lighter like I was saying 32" tire vs 33" tire

The Rt's tires weigh 38lbs
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

The Express' tires weigh 43lbs
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

Bam do the math...
RT's set up- 34.91lbs (wheels)+38lbs(tires)=72.91lbs
Express' set up- 34.2lbs (wheels)+43lbs (tires)=77.2lbs

I could have sworn I knew my shit especially when I was just doing research on lighter 22" wheel combos last month.

I believe you. I'm going from memory. I thought the express setup was lighter, guess not. I do still think the express is a couple hundred pounds lighter overall. Not that these few pounds makes a drastic difference...

4lbs in rotational mass is more than you think (more like 80lbs dead/static weight= in about 8hp loss, there goes your exhaust gain), but for being 22" wheels (better appearance vs 20s) those are about as light as they get.....A quote from a plummer that services our bathrooms at my refinery "someone forgot to flush but I can tell they are on a high fiber diet by just the smell of it because I know my shit." I tend to believe him because he's probably walked in on some nice little messes a time or two. LOL

huh....? You're confusing me. I said I believed you that the RT wheel/tire combo was lighter. I'm aware of the benefits of lighter rotational mass besides static weight loss, I've been on the track since I was a young kid.

Appearance is all opinion, I personally don't think 22" wheels look better than 20" wheels, etc. I actually prefer 17" wheels. I do, though, like the design of the RT wheels, but I wouldn't ever have a wheel that big on my truck. I'd run 15" wheels if I could, but 17" is the smallest I can get away with.

I just find it funny how fads go, 15 years ago the cool thing was to have the smallest wheels/tires possible. I remember seeing cars rolling around on 12" and 13" wire wheels, with modified or removed brakes. Now people put 24" and 26" wheels on their cars(incorrectly calling them "rims"...) and cut and grind away at the body and frame. How about choosing a wheel that is proportionate and looks good...?

Don't know where I was going with that but anyway....lol

Anyway, to the OP, post up your actual time if you ever get to a track. I'm curious to see what it actually is.

High 11 seconds if not 12....big difference from high to lows because he's assuming he gonna run a 1/4 around that time but bet a grand he's in the high 13s at best if not 14s in the 1/4.
