Default Timing Chain with Cam Swap

Hey guys I am going to get a new timing chain to install with the cam swap. Is a stock replacement good or is there an upgraded one anyone recommends? Thanks!

Could swap to a 6.1 timing setup if not a stock replacement will be fine

The gen 4 5.7 and 6.4 share the same part number for timing chain and tensioners. Not sure about the 6.1 or gen 3 5.7's

Are you running/planning to run a supercharger? That's about the only reason I could see swapping the timing system. After discussing with Alex w/ Arrington and Stu w/ Inertia about my build, they both recommended I stick with the stock timing chain and just pin the crank when I get over 500rwhp. The only real upgrade is a double roller timing chain and that's a substantial investment unless you absolutely need it.

I would not swap to a 6.1L chain/tensioner as the 6.1L guys have been swapping out for the 5.7L tensioner because it doesn't wear out as quickly.
