Some say it is, some say it isn't. I say it isn't. IMO it does nothing at best.

That's pretty much my point. These resistor tricks worked 20 years ago on the very simple computer systems all the way through OBDI systems pretty much, but these newer systems are very complex and have a lot of redundancy. Tricking one sensor is pretty much useless as there are multiple sensors monitoring identical values and the other sensors that will still correct the values to what they should be. At best you will get a temporary change.

yes..ill post pics of slips and vids of my two runs..Fitsy run was a 13.6 with a 2.2 60ft @100mph and the next run was a 13.3 with a 2.0 60ft at 96mph? Idk how i only ran 96 mph but oh well only care abt ets..and yeah im with you on the high 12s, itll be really hard cause im already hitting the limiter at 100mph cause the 22in viper wheels messed my speedo up.

timmy had a good idea that for the drag racers you could install it for the track only. You'd maybe get firmer shifts that night. But then when you remove it you'd have to do the relearn or else have "soft" shifts temporarily that could wear the clutches faster.

I dunno, you guys have much more power than I do(I'm lucky to run a 15.9, probably 350hp and that might be over generous), but my truck shifts pretty firm as is. The more power you have, the harder it is to get it to the ground. I do have the trans tuning with the SC tuner though...

Just be aware(if you didn't know) that you should do the relearn procedure upon removing it. If you don't you will have too low of line pressure values and will temporarily have "soft" shifts until it adjusts back to normal. I'm not positive but would think this would wear the clutches faster. Probably wouldn't matter if it was one time but if you did end up doing this only at the track a lot it'd reduce clutch life.
