I'm sticking with the Mopar filter. Wally world has them for 5.67. I don't want any excuses from Dodge if I have a warranty related issue.

Opinions are like @55#@£€5. Everyone has one and most stink. You want some truth about oil and filters then you need to send a oil sample to a lab for testing. I use blackstone labs($25 for oil test and they will send you the kit free).

I used my new 2004 F150 to try out amsoil and their eao filters. I ran their Signature Series oil for 18 months (16k miles). Sent in a sample every 3 months and results came back positive each time. The lab even told me the oil was still good on the last sample and to send in another sample in 3 months. I went ahead and changed it anyway.

Amsoil claims 1 year or 35K on oil and 25K on filter. I went 1 1/2 years and half the mileage and oil was testing good. I changed the oil in that truck every year. Last oil sample showed everything was wearing within spec. Never had an ounce of trouble with it.
Does this mean that Amsoil is the best oil and filter on the market? I say no. It just means that it worked for me. I will continue to use it in my new truck.

I studied oil and filter reports from every field I could find reports on like Air, Auto, and marine for a year just to try to answer some questions like what was the best oil and filter. I came away with very few definitive answers.
I believe any oil that falls within the manufacturers specs will work and just about any filter will do a good job.
I think it's more about what makes you feel good than which one is best.

This is what works for me.
Wife's new lease car will get whatever crap the caddy dealer wants to use because it's free and another new car is just 3 years away.
My new truck will get Amsoil because it seems to work well and I love the once a year oil changes.
My Ultra Classic will use Amsoil changed every 5K. But I will use a Harley filter because it tested better than the Amsoil filter for the bike.

Sorry for being long winded.
I do not sell Amsoil nor do I work for blackstone labs.
