On several home projects, we used OXY/ACETYLENE bottles & a Brazing Tip & we had a stash of the old type clothes hangers, getting harder to find now, those old clothes hangers were perfect for welding/brazing.
We even used it to weld a race cars doors shut & to weld the hood to the fenders

I would like to see a larger image of the lawn mower, when you get a chance

Although there is not 'authentic' placement for the bell, I have always liked the look of it either immediately behind the smoke stack, or in the middle of the boiler as opposed to the ones that hang out the front. But that is just personal taste. Here's a couple of examples -

I too would prefer a center mounted bell. Any ideas on where I could have found one in relative scale size?

Brad...I'm working with a lawn mower here! Not to mention that whatever was in that drum made me glow for 3 days.

Not to take away from your awsome build Warlock III, but check out these guys' tractor. They also modify (kinda) their old lawn tractors and ride off road with them. Kinda like cheap ATV's, real funny to watch.

I've seen those guys on a couple of TV shows and they always make me laugh. Maybe when I'm done I'll put a Mazda rotary engine in it and take it out to the salt flats.

You didn't take away from my build at all that was just apples and oranges.

Now you'll get me on the topic of racing mowers and 90+ MPH

It was really hot here today so I used the time to get the front wheels off, clean 'em up, and paint 'em two toned.

Painted 'em red, and then brushed brass around the outer edge.

Hopefully I'll get to the back tomorrow. Also started notching the front because I got the bell in the mail today.

So I take it your going with red as a color, with brass elsewhere , are your going with black too?

Yeah, red and black with the brass accents. Similar to the one Brad posted was what I had in mind from the start.

QUESTION: If it's 105 degrees and the rims are drying in the sun...does that count as baked on?
