if i buy longer shocks will it raise my truck anymore than it already is?

Shocks will not raise or lower a vehicle, they just provide dampening (compression and rebound) for the springs on the vehicle. They just control the energy of the suspension.

An add-a-leaf will raise the rear by about 1.5" because it adds support to the leaf spring arch (stiffens the arch per say). The rear suspension will be stiffer, but not by much. I ran add-a-leafs to my old Dakota years ago.
Going with longer coils made for your truck will raise the front end, but you are limited to how much (usually 2.5" is safe) you can go before you will start needing to buy other components. For a simple leveling you will be fine. Make sure you replace the shocks with longer units to match the "lift"

EXACTLY! I do not understand why so many people are saying they lift their trucks with shocks, it makes no sense.
