If you plan on a 180 tstat and some performance mods, colder heat range plugs would be ok, but I couldn't find the correct ones. If you find more info let me know, but definitely be careful with switching plugs around on this engine.

Where did you get your torque converter at?

I will have to research it some.

I bought it used off another member but it's an edge billet street edge converter. About a 2800 stall. Call edge or circle d, similar products and prices. The converter is a great mod, it's probably the best mod I've done(the tuner is pretty damn good too). Hard to say which is better. But if I could choose only one mod it'd be either the tuner or converter.

And FWIW, if I was buying new I'd ask for a 3000 stall. But 2800 is close enough and considering the money I saved it's great. It's probably better too because I haul a lot of weigh often so the higher the stall the worse off you are towing/hauling.

I hardly ever tow anything or haul heavy things. The only time I haul a bunch of stuff is when I go to work for two weeks. If you don't mind me asking how much did you spend on yours about? I am def looking forward to installing one.

I don't remember exactly, I think $260 or $280. Definitely wasn't over $300. So roughly half price. There is a risk with that though, since there is no warranty and it is possible if the converter is F'd up it could damage the transmission. But I was comfortable with the seller so all was good

Yeah I think 2011's still had teh 545rfe. Either 2011 or 2012 switched to the new name transmission. It is the same transmission but they renamed it to something like the 65rfe I think. It is the same though, the same converters should work. They just renamed it to call it a "six" speed. Nothing actually changed, all marketing I believe.

Take wiki with a grain of salt. They are identical transmissions, both physically and software. The name is the only difference.

Yes I have the "street edge". Lists at $525.00.

When you talk to them they will ask specifics about the engine, gearing, etc. and any mods or future mods. It all comes into play with the stall. They will sort of "custom" build it to your needs.

I lucked out and got one out of a 3rd gen hemi used that was about a 3000 stall and on my less powerful engine it worked out to about what I wanted which was a 2800 stall.
