Question Mirror swap question...

I have an '12 RAM EXPRESS 1500 with standard heated DRVR/PASS mirrors. I would like to upgrade them to the type with integrated turn signals and courtesy lights. My question is: If I remove the mirrors I have on there now, Is there existing wiring & plug already in place to connect new mirrors with the turn signal or will I have to swap any wiring harness? If you can hep answer my question, I would greatly appreciate it. Thx.

I can't speak to the integrated signals, but I went from the standard "sport" mirrors to the chrome heated fold-out trailer mirrors w/ the puddle lights from a Laramie and it was pure plug and play for me.

Yeah - took me maybe 15mins/side. Have a helper if you're doing it yourself though-- its a PITA trying to balance/line up/bolt in by yourself.

Question

I may be asking a stupid question here, but by 'Puddle lights', do you mean the light that shines down the side of the mirror that lights up the ground outside your door??? ( I just want to be sure, sorry.)

Does anyone else have any experience with or know how to swap in some of the mirrors I want?

Yeah they are plug and play. There's a module in each door that you'll plug the new mirror into. I have attached the Chrysler removal documents for the door panel and the mirror. They are one of the easier mirrors to replace. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

So far no one has made the lights with the blinkers/puddle lights work in a truck that didnt come with them FYI

even when they take them to dealers
