Talking So close to an upset

So after all my mods I ran against a 2012 Lexus IFS that's factory 420hp and a 70k dollar car, he beat me by .4 sec, soo close. I'm running against him again this weekend and have a few more tricks and mods up my sleeve so if I beat him you will see the video. By the way I ran a 14.8 street tires and 100% humidity here, people from the states average about a full second faster back state side.

It's a 4wd sb/rc 5.7, so far I've got weight reduction roll pan, spare removed. Comp 268 cam 6.1 springs and rods, CAI, full 3" exhaust cat delete LT headers aero turbine muffler, sOnnax line booster, 2800 circle D stall, electronic fan, 4.56 gears front and back, Detroit trutrac. Diablo predator with custom tune by diablotoona.

if you run at the track..try and find a spare passenger side headlight an do an air scoop like mine...what kind of cai do you have?

Or instead of using a headlight just run a tube up from the ground did that on my k&n works great

I like that headlight idea, I ha the tube running from my fog insert up for a while but it was a temp I need to figure somthing more permanent. We're going back tonight got a few tricks I'm gonna try so hoping to hit low 14's like I said every one runs very slow here. I'll post my improvements when I get back.

Take Fred's advice here. Your mods demand alot of air coming in, so do what you can to force as much cooler outside air to the throttle body as possible. Going from a big 6" scoop down to a 4" intake tube is ideal, but any amount of extra outside air will benefit you...sometimes as much as .2-.4 drop in ET from the extra scoop alone.
