Default AFE stage 1 or stage 2?

hey guys, looking to buy a new intake, and want to stick with AFE.

But the question is stage one or two? whenever i wash my truck i noticed water all over the top of my intake box and i dont want that in my open filer element with a stage 2! Is that something to worry about?

And is there a serious power difference between the two?

Obviously i want more power for the buck but dont want to wet my filter or worry about it when going through puddles ect. Stage 1 looks better to. Dillemas!

The oiled filters keep water from going in, the only time you have to worry is when the filter is under water. Stage 2 for the win!

The oil on the filters is just for water and small dust

Hmm okay. Just wondering of if would suck in water at all, or hold water. It like points up towards the hood where the water from cleaning it comes from lol. Why can't the top be covered!
