The 4.7L makes more power than the ol' LA's (its what I refer them to cause they originally started as LA motors). But I don't know as anyone that has surpassed 250K on a 4.7L. I find the 4.7L to be a cheap motor, sure has good pick up and power...they don't last long. You can do that easily on the 360's and 318's.
I don't see why you would want to down grade or just do a Hemi swap.
