Rims look great!! I like them better than when they were stock. I'm thinking of Plasti-Dipping my rims. I've already changed my fuel filler lid to flat black, I changed out the chrome door handles that came with my truck to black & I ordered black honeycomb grill inserts.

both look good to me but i like them with no dip on them. I like the contrast. with the dip on the the rims seem to blend in with the tires

LOL Thanks guys but I actually decided to go in a completely different direction... swapped out the ProComps and DC II's for a set of 35x12.50x17 Toyo Open Country MT's on XD Spys...

I don't know why everyone loves the blacked out look personally. I thought they looked great on gotbrains230 build but it is a different color truck too.
I vote don't keep either set. However I will add that the second set is loads better because of the center cap making things lighter.

Great bar by the way

I liked the blacked out look ok, but what I noticed was that once you got 20 feet away from the truck you lost the wheels and everything was just a black blob. I like some contrast so the wheels are still noticeable, and I did a LOT of searching websites, forums, etc. looking for pictures of white trucks with various wheels to find something I liked. For whatever reason the Spy's just clicked for me.

This all started because for the second time, I had a ProComp tire go bad on me. At first I thought it was just the alignment of the truck, but as I looked closer you could see that the siping on certain lugs was wearing at a faster rate than the lugs around it... and it turned out for some reason to be lugs that were located at the mold marks on the tire, like every 6th lug. I had the truck checked for alignment and it was spot on, so it had to be something with the tire. As a result, while I was selling the set, I knocked the price down and gave that tire away for the cost of the wheel.

No more ProComps for me!
