Default Seat Belt Warning

Hello all, I just bought a new 2012 1500 and I'm wondering if there is a way to disable the seat belt waning tone. On my 2007 there was a procedure described in the manual that would allow this. It was a procedure of tunrning the key on and off, buckling and unbuckling the belt, etc. Does anyone know of a procedure?

Yes ......got this from another post.

1- lock seatbelt in
2- turn ignition to "ON"
3- wait for seatbelt warning light to remove from dash
4- remove and insert seat belt 3 times within 10 seconds
5- leave seatbelt in on the 3rd time
6- turn ignition to "OFF"
7- listen for chime to confirm operation worked

I love that one, it's like an "easter egg" on the computer, hidden fun stuff. Wonder what else there is that we don't know about. And who the hell figured that one out? LOL some OCD type who has to do everything again and again before they can leave for the day? haha

It didn't tell you how disengage the seatbelt chime in the user manual?

Remember that just because the chime is no longer, that red seatbelt light in the instrument cluster panel stays lit.

The best way I've found to rid the seatbelt chime? Wear it!

Just found this in the manual for my 2010 . Works like a charm . Wish I could do it for the "Key in ignition" chime .
