I have the 40 series..it's pretty loud. So either go 50 (my muffler guy recommended that for our trucks). Or if you just want a deep, nice tone without being loud and some performance increase look into magnaflow.

also i see you are from norfolk? u navy? I went to school in newport news.

Ya bit of a performance to. I figure if Im gonna go wrap manifolds. I might as well get heads to do that to. I know the Y pipe sucks right now as well. I got quote for a catback Flowmaster stainless. Duel out for 900 From eastern truck and Accesories from VA beach. A few guys on here just say do the muffler and then the Y with a magnaflow Y. I still want to do an exhaust wrap..

Yup Im navy. 10 years down here in norfolk orginially from Michigan. Lived just about everywhere in the 7 cities before I settled down in ocean view. Im looking for a truck group down here.

catback was $900???? thats just the muffler and piping right or does that include new cats. (ive never looked to be honest, haha. i hear the term all the time just never looked at a catback set up) I got all that and installed for $450.

also i'm not familiar with the term exhaust wrap. (im not claiming to be an exhaust expert, i just wanted to give my .02 on the sound since more people on here run magnaflow so there arent many first hand accounts of the flowmaster.

Yeah VA rams are few an far between on here I feel like. I haven't found a truck group yet. Although in the spring I am going to plan a meet, i want richmond/nova/newport news guys. so probably meet in richmond in the middle.

I had a custom cat back single in, dual out flowmaster super 40 and it was cool for a a few months, but then it was just obnoxious. Go with a maganflow, it has a nice, deep tone tolerable for much longer
