When these are finally back in stock I will be buying some fronts, most shops quoted me 150 for install but one shop said 350 because it will have to be aligned because its changing ride height? So what should i be looking for? Alignment to be done and does 2.75" raise the front end a little to much? Thanks guys!

Mine cost $407 installed with an alignment. So you got a great price. I have mine at 2.75 and still have 1 inch of rake.

Default Towing with bilsteins

New to forum, and have been reading a lot of different threads. I have a 2011 1500 quad cab 4x4 and I can't stand how low the front is. I want to level it out and it looks like the Bilstein 5100s are the way to go. How do these do with towing though? I often pull trailers, mostly 5x8 or 6x12, usually not exceeding 3000 lbs.

There are many options on leveling ranging from leveling spacers to leveling shocks (Bilsteins) to complete shock/coil level set up (Fox, Rancho, etc)

Regards to towing, they handle the same as your stock setup.
Does not change anything

Not on the fronts, just the rears.

They tow as good if not better than factory. My only suggestion is to leave a little bit of rake so when you do load the bed and/or pull a trailer you aren't nose high. Trucks come with a rake from the factory for this very reason. I have my bilsteins set at 2.1 and still have just under 2 inches rake to play with.

Hey guys. New to the site. Has anyone heard any news on possible ship dates if these shocks. I really think I'm getting the run around from all I've called. Even purchased some in stock. We'll NOT. JUST CURIOUS

I understand Bilstein is starting to ship. There may only be enough to fill back orders though. Call around. You might get lucky.
