Its probably going to be a shock to you guys, seeing a black RAM R/T :i_rolleyes: but I just got this truck two weeks ago and I love it so I'm going to show it off.

Still stock but that's going to change soon, going to be adding the mopar cold air intake, only reason i'm going with the overpriced mopar kit is because I get a decent discount on it since I work at a dealership.

Exhaust, Tints, Maybe halo headlights, Tune, *cough*supercharger*cough* but that isn't final yet. Tell me what you think.

I bought this baby brand spankin new from the dealer I work at but literary two days after I bought it I decided that the RAM 1500 badges had to go, they took up way too much of the door. So with some fishing line, a hair dryer, and some goo gone they were gone.

I was dissapointed that chrysler only put ONE R/T badge on the entire truck, no where on the inside does it say R/T either. Durangos, chargers, even r/t journeys say it in multiple places so I added my own. I think they should have came like this from the factory.

I got the stick on R/T badges from here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&vxp=mtr&item=230810515096#ht_1112wt_784

Heres some pics of the truck the day I bought it and a pic of the R/T badge I added on the inside:

That badge is just the decklid badge from 2012 chargers.

As for the tune...theres a few perks to living in Michigan where these are built. Check out this thread I started:
http://ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=115399

You'll find some information on a place called B&G chrysler specialists in Warren, MI. They have the software that chrysler uses to write PCM's. That paired with a dyno and they can do some pretty wicked stuff.

By the way dodgert, i love that rt you got there looks awesome man, very nice.

indeed it is you should buy parts at your cost then see for a mark up oh i like the r/t badge on the tailgate great minds think alike. And i agree the others are all marked up with interior stuff and the trucks got the shaft.

Check out my thread look at all the sexiness i did to mine

over all this is my fav pic of her she looks pissed in it

I got the r/t fender badges on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...#ht_1112wt_784

They just stick right on, their actual mopar badges but way cheaper on ebay then from the dealer.

Why anyone would buy badges from anywhere else than ebay is beyond me. I bought the 6.1L HEMI challanger hood badges for my hood for $17 a side from ebay, the dealer i work at wanted $60 a side, no thank you. (I didn't but the 6.1l part of the badge obviously)

I'm not sure on the rims yet, I really like the factory rims but depending on what I do in the future I don't know if I wanna go black rims or not. All my friends are telling me to keep the stock rims and spend the money on performance.

I've really been interested in a 6.4l swap since I drove a 2012 challenger srt8 at work, but thats so much work I don't know if it would be worth it. Not sure I wanna dive that deep into my daily driver since I'm starting to look for a older jeep wrangler bogger. A friend of mine can hook me up with a set of black powdercoated srt10 rims, and then another friend of mine can hook me up with a built to the hills 454/th400 combo for a wrangler build. decisions decisions...

Exactly. Working at a dealer they sometimes send me to the chrysler training center near the head quarters in aburn hills, MI to learn about the new technology and stuff and I actually had a few instructors come out and look at my truck because they had never seen one, everyone always loves those rims because they're not chrome clad.

Thank guys,

The K5 fenders say 350 because It started life as a 350 but its now a built to the hills 383 stroker with an unbreakable th400 trans. Those two paired with 4.56 gears and a 2300 stall torque converter make it pretty quick. It may be neck and neck with the r/t off the line but it tops out at 80mph because of the 4.56 gears. I intended to lift it 6 inches and slap some 35s on it but now that I have the r/t I'm putting that on the back burner.

It was either buy the r/t or drop a stroked 454 big bock in the k5 and keep driving my 99 jimmy for a daily driver. Obviously I got the r/t

heres some pics of the engine:

Right after final assembly, those yellow wires had to go

all dirty and neglected...

Thanks!

I love that 383 but the way its built and the cam that's in it, its made for a street car, It makes almost all of its power in high rpm, I had to limit it to 7500 rpm, it would spin 8000 all day, that worried me a little lol

Still does awesome in the mud though

Well yesterday I ordered blacked out tail lights and a blacked out third brake light plus all the leds ill need to make everything brighter due to the dark lens. And I ordered a tri fold tonneau cover. That stuff should be here sometime this week. After that I'm gonna get my halo headlights and hid fog lights, maybe tint the fogs. I bought a can of plast dip for the ram emblems but I'm hesitant on doing it because its been done so many times beifore.

I've always loved the look of the spoilers on the daytona rams...wondering if there are r/t versions out there...
