Lightbulb Bypass TIPM (Totally Intergrated Power Module)

So, I have a 2007 Dodge 1500. I couldnt start my truck so it ended up going to the dealership for a diagnoses. TIPM is bad. Now they want $950 for a new TIPM. My question is has anyone heard of or is it possible to bypass the tipm and hook up an aftermarket push button ignition switch? (The TIPM is not allowing power to the starter)

Not possible to bypass, it runs almost everything in your truck.

Ok maybe i should have been a little more specific.... Not bypassing the whole TIPM.. Just the part that is bad. Like how it is not allowing me to get power to the S solinoid of my starter... just run a relay and a push button ignition switch... Does this make since?

Ohh, when put that way, yes it is likely possible but will throw many codes and possibly shut down other systems. As the name says TOTALLY integrated power module is totally integrated. Best off replacing the TIPM to ensure no other damage.

Yes, but it will need to be flashed with your specific truck equipment by the dealer to ensure everything works.

Thanks for all the replys... I did go ahead and run a switch to the starter for a temp fix. It works well. But I am going to look for a salvaged truck and try to get the TIPM cheap.

Sadly everything does run through it. I fried the passengerside headlamp circuit in mine and was able to work around it so it's possible to do because I didn't want to spend the $750 to get a new one.

I just had to have my TIPM replaced. Started with loosing my right side low beam then blowing random tail lights then my instrument panel started acting up. My teach would read 0-200rpm at idle and 500 rpm at highway speeds. Went to my mechanic and they said it was the TIPM but they couldn't find a used one any where and that Dodge has a monologue on the codes and they couldn't get them to do it themselves. So I ended up getting a new TIPK through the dealer at just under $700 for the whole deal. I gussy I got lucky cause I see a lot of people on here got ripped off at around$900-1400 to fix it. My instrument panel is still fried though. Still reads wrong rpm and my oil pressure light now reads wrong or says it has no oil pressure and is causing my truck to throw codes saying I'm using the wrong oil type and that my instrument/oil pressure Guage performance something is basically fried... so I'm guessing I have to get a new panel now.
