new update driving down the road tonight truck died act like getting no fuel and I don't hear the fuel pump priming when turning the truck on and just cranks and cranks. Just had it towed to dealership and will you know what they find they just replaced the sensor in it last week for erratic fuel gauge showing.

Kinda ironic...mine died Saturday night while in the middle of an intersection, but then started going again. Darn near same mileage. Been running fine ever since, but I'll be watching that fuel gauge a little more closely now to see for other signs of fuel pump type problems.

Does anyone remember it flashing a code or symbol in the EVIC? I seem to recall looking down briefly and seeing something in red coming up, but since I was turning in a middle of an intersection and had a truck full of people (literally full heading to a football game), even the passengers noticed as the truck seemed to die, and then get going again. Course....when I let out the words utt oh...that was also a clue.

It was the fuel pump, and it took 2 weeks to diagnose and another week for the part to arrive and be installed. I had to chew some serious @SS at Chrysler to get them to cover my rental and tows. Looking back now I no longer wonder why these guys are called "technicians" instead of "mechanics".
