MSRP 37k or 40k, I dunno there were 2 papers in the truck
After tax/tags/etc. I financed 29k with 0 down and got 1.75% over 6 years, payments are 420/month.
*Mind you, the following is after 30 minutes of negotiating. I was on 3 hours of sleep and had not eaten in 20 hours*
My favorite part of negotiations was when I was holding firm at 420/month, and the sales manager was at 439 (he originally told me 507/month...LOL). He said, what if I can somehow come down to the 420's...like, say, 424, can you do THAT?
I said no. He was like, what!? 4 dollars a month? Why not!?
I said, "because if you can do 424/month, you can do 420."
He just looked at me with a blank stare and said, alright hold on a sec.
2 min later I got what I wanted
EDIT: I should also add that when I was signing all the financial documents, the business office lady told me my payments would be 427/month. I told her about our negotiations and she said, well the prices they give you out there are ballpark figures. I said I don't think so, I haven't signed anything I can still walk out. She got on the phone, then told me, "they'll delay your payments for 3 months". I said no I'm not falling for that. Shortly thereafter they lowered my interest rate from 2 to 1.75 to get my 420 payment.
Had I not been so damn cranky who knows what kind of crap deal I might have walked out with!!! Moral of the story: Be cranky as **** when you negotiate!!!
