I have heard of them using these for diagnostics during accidents. Mostly used by big brother to see if you did what you said you did when you got in an accident. Used to cover their butts in auto issues. Police depts also can get access to them to use them to recreate accidents as well. Good luck with it and keep us posted Justin. I hope they get yours fixed. Mine is still up in the air. They are replacing the TIPM and that is supposed to fix my problem. I think they are doing whatever they can and hoping it works, since they dont know what is wrong with it.

Ok so two days after the guy at chrysler told me he would contact my dealer to install the copilot he calls me back and says that the unit would not help with my problem and basically told me sorry can't help anymore than that.. and said the best thing to do is to call the service guy when the problem happens and they would send a tech out to me..by the time they get to me it will probably start so im kind of lost on what to do now guess I just wait until it gets worse and wont start at all so they can actually see the problem for themselves.

You should tell them that I have the same problem with my truck and it is not diagnosable with any other means know at the moment. It does not show up as an error code on the computer, it is not common enough that they have a known cause. I can tell you that my service dept has gone through my truck with a fine tooth comb and used every diagnostic tool at their disposal. The last option is this Pod which actually replaces the co pilot for our newer Rams. The issue is that it depends on the driver of the truck to get the info. I will post a video on my thread here is the link.
http://youtu.be/8cKLkTTljQo
This will tell you what is required of you to get it doagnosed. I hope it works, if not it is Lemon Law time and my dealership will assist me with it they said. It is no reflection on the dealership for the Lemon Law. It is simply a vehicle that came with a problem from the factory that cannot be fixed by conventional means.

Justin i am curious, did you buy this truck new, or did you buy it certified used? The problem I have found after doing research is that in the last 4 years or so Chrysler has had to replace Lemons to the tune of billions of dollars worth of vehicles and those vehicles get sold at auctions and NEW car dealers do buy these vehicle and repair the salvage title with a new title. It is not ethical but it happens probably more than we know. In the event someone buys one of these vehicles that is misrepresented as anything but a Lemon, there are actions that can be taken against the dealer that does this.
Hope you are doing ok with yuor truck. Keep us posted.

Default wiTECH-POD

I found the name of the unit they put on my truck Justin, it is called wiTECH-POD. It replaced the co-pilot they used to use. So I actually got lucky tonight and my truck did the no start issue in my driveway and I hit record on the POD unit. I did it 7 times and then figured they would have all the info they needed to get this fixed. I kept trying it and finally it did start, but not without the click like 10 times. So anyway, I will be going to the Dealership in the morning, I will def post asap once I get the results. Hope I will be able to help you out with your issue.

Wish you had gotten it on video. I would love to see what the truck does when it doesn't wanna start. This is bizarre to say the least!
