Thumbs up 2003 5.7 Hemi TMR Delete

This weekend I was looking through another forum and stumbled upon a free mod for 2003 Hemi's. I pasted the info I used, very helpful.

The 03 TMR Delete Mod comes up every now and then and only takes a couple of minutes and is free. So I searched around and found pictures from another forum and have posted the mod here for future reference. This mod can only be done on the 03 model, all the newer trucks need to buy a tuner. This is a no BS mod that cost nothing and works by removing the torque management request coming from the TCM to the PCM. I've had this mod installed on my 03 for a few years with no adverse side effects. If you are concerned it will hurt something then don't do it.

Location of TCM...

Remove center bolt and pull plug out.

Remove the red pin holder.

Pull wire from pin #10 and tape off the end. Put it all back together and test drive!

This is really very simple to do, locate the Yellow/Dark Green wire (#10) and remove from the plug or simply cut it leaving enough to reconnect if you ever want to. Fold back the ends and cover with heat shrink.

I was on vacation when I did it and drove 600 miles home with the new mod with no problem whatsoever. Previously driving 75mph I was running 1850rpm and with the mod at 75mph I was running 2000rpm. On the drive up without the mod I reset the mpg calculator and it read 13.5mpg and the drive back home I reset it and it read 15.6mpg (not sure if the readings have anything to do with the mod, thats just what the display read) I personally am very pleased with the mod and would recommend every 03 owner to do it.

It's for 45/545RFE's only with the separate TCM. Disables torque management so that the computer doesn't pull engine power on every shift. A sonnax goes well with this mod.
