Default Ram gurus please guide me

Hey everyone, I don't mean to sound repetitive but I'm lost for ideas. Here's my dilemma and what I've done so far:
1997 Dodge Ram Sport 5.9L 4x4. My oil light came on while driving and the oil gauge dropped to zero. Then the truck shut down. The truck will turn over from the ignition, but will not fire up. Truck does have oil in it. Things I've replaced: oil pressure sending unit, camshaft position sensor, all major relays including the auto shutdown, oil and filter. Any advise you can offer would be great! I even did the gallon of kerosene over night and replaced w/ fresh oil and filter. I have not dropped the pan but if there is any place else I can check, please let me know. It's that damn oil light that's driving me crazy

I've maintained my truck pretty well so I'm just a little lost at what could be causing this issue. I also tried looking for codes but the cel is not on. Please Ram gurus help me!!!!

I haven't checked for spark or fuel yet. I'll do that this weekend. I did replace the spark plugs less than a year ago but not the wires or the cap and rotor. It's really a shame because the truck wasn't really getting used and now this. Went from running great to not at all. So frustrating! Thank you for the advise. I will follow up once I complete the tests mentioned.

A gallon of kerosene? Why would you do that? Try getting a code reader and reset the computer. Also drop the pan to make sure the pick up tube isn't blocked.

I am completely disgusted every time I think about having to take a distributor cap off of one of these trucks -Screamintrashcan

I did the kerosene thing cause I read online that it could help break up slug in the pickup tube. Assuming that was my problem. It was worth a shot but it did not solve my problem I tried a code reader but the CEL is not lit so nothing showed up

I want to replace the distributor cap, rotor, wires and clean out the throttle body while I'm at it. And yes you're right, I will be dropping the pan but I'm just going to replace the oil pump and pickup tube. I'm hoping it's nothing more serious than that. I mean the truck was running flawlessly and then boom
