Default Don't know what happened!!!!!!

I just bought my first dodge from a buddy and now it's acting up. I have a 95 ram 5.2L. It was sitting a long time before I got it and drove it home,15 mins, no prob. I cleaned it up changed air filter and oil and filter. I was driving it for a few minutes and on the way back the truck just died. I started it back up and wouldn't run if my foot wasn't on the gas. The oil light came on and I know there is oil in it because I changed the oil a week ago...... Please help me.....!

Sounds like an electrical problem could be the culprit or a fuel line issue... if not, changing the oil could have knocked loose allot of particulate sitting in that old oil and could have clogged the oil pump... I would try getting a scanner, the sort they use at auto zone to check that problem code.. It would tell you where to start looking.. I wouldn't drive the truck to the store though.. They can be rented or just find someone who has one.. Hope this helps

If the CEL/MIL light is on you can check the code with the K3.

Check the grounds. After sitting they may have corroded and the recent action may have been enough to jar something loose.

I agree with HunterS that it may be an electrical issue. Start from the grounds and then check to make sure the starter hasn't shorted with debris coming loose inside.
