Default 02 mustang gt 5 speed, Headers exhaust 89oct tune. KILL

Well a kid with a mustang was racing around today after my doctors appointment. Was just going to let him go and be about his business as he looked pretty young. Well by some fluke the 3 cars in front of me decided to turn and I caught him at the next light. He had his music blaring with his engine revving... Wasn't even paying attention to that big ol' Hemi sitten' right next to him. Timed the light right and had my truck set to launch around 2k rpm. Manual Shifting and traction control off. Pulled on him all the way through second at 65mph. By that time he was a good 3+ cars back and gave up...

Ended up rolling up at the next light some ways down the road that was pretty busy so we had time to talk. He was a punk I could tell but wasn't being a douche about things. Told me what he had which was BBK headers, Borla Exhaust, and a 89 oct tune. Told him what I had (In my signature) and he was definitely surprise. Think he thought I was lying also... Just a case of a kid who thinks his car is fast because the name on the side. Was an 02 model. Pretty old and even back then those weren't that hot.

A kill is a kill, and this isn't the first mustangs lunch I have eatin'... Taken plenty of them, but those were all automatics. So I wanted it to be a bit more of a proper performance car which this time it was a 5 speed.

That was basically a stock 302, but a kill none the less. He probably burned less gas...try hoping on one of the new 5.0's, they are sick.

Nice job!

Tried to talk the fiance into a 5.0 mustang... Said the 5.7 challenger was "More pretty" -.-... I could have done SO MUCH to that mustang while she was visiting her mother she would have never noticed...

But yea, those older mustangs are like wet farts... They are dogs, but you have to say... My truck weighs close to 6000 pounds, and is a full sized Crew Cab truck

They are with out a doubt my most favorite modern Muscle car. So much potential and win coming out of the mustang line up at the moment.

It's a good kill that mustang is way lighter. Good work.

Funny this thread came up.. lol Monday I was driving and I was going in and out of traffic on a long bridge. In my rear view I saw a mustang trying to catch up to me. We live in the same apartment complex. We have a 6 story parking garage at our apartments, we usually park next to each other, but have never met. Anyways.. We catch the next light together, light goes green and we are door to door till about 60-70mph. I know its not that fast, but I was happy for the Ram doing that well, plus he had intake and exhaust. And it was 100 outside.

Soon as I hook up the nitrous Ill dust his ass! lol
