Default help with final delete

well after spending 55.000 on my new longhorn and seeing a dismal 15 mpg i bought the H&S mini max and deleted the dpf and removed 100 pounds of EPA junk! now at 18.2 mpg and i can live with that. my last 5.9 averaged 20 mpg. so my question now is how do i complete this by deleting the EGR cant find anything on it in the instruction manual. all help appreciated.

Obviously you have the 5.9 and I have a 5.7, but I'll throw my .02 in.
Just wanted to add that I don't know how long you've owned your new truck, but there is a bit of a break in period before you see the mileage show up where it's really supposed to be. When I first picked up mine I was only getting about 17MPG on the highway at 65, but after the computer learned everything and everythings been broken in I can squeeze 20MPG out of it cruising (with cruise control on) around 75-80. These trucks do seem a bit gas thirsty though when it comes to hills as well though, and that will effect your MPG's pretty easily.

To complete the egr delete, you need to remove the cooler tube, block off the egr valves, and instal a coolant bypass hose. There are several kits out there, I know sinister diesel has a good billet kit, just make sure you get the right kit for your year as the bypass hose is different from the early build 6.7l.

Default EGR one more time

If i leave the EGR as it is plugged in and undeleted will it affect my engine or gas milage adversly? even though i have changed out the exhaust i hold out the hope that if needed i could reinstal it and possibly get warrenty work if something major happened. so with this thought in mind i question the EGR delete? Thanks for all the help

I just had the deletes done on my '11.
Talked to H&S and they indicated that the EGR can stay in place, just unplug the system, and your tuner will look after any thrown codes. Said that there was no real point in actually removing the EGR, as the bypass valve won't actuate and re-direct the exhaust gasses.
An added bonus is the fact it's still there if you have to run the truck in for any warranty work.
