Default Throttle lag

Is it just me, or when you punch the throttle down, there is a like 1 second lag before it kicks in? Almost reminds me of my good old chevelle and my camaro which both had holly double-pumpers on them. Is this normal, or will the computer that they call a truck eventually "learn" or "overcome" this? Not slamming my RAM, I love it, and I do not "hot rod" all over the place, but when I go to pass or just want to open her up I was hoping for some instant (or thereabouts) response from the throttle. What do you guys say?

I notice this intermittantly. Most common scenario is slowing for a light which goes green just before you stop. Sometimes seems rather gutless. Suspect the MDS has a role some of the time.

Turbo- Yeah I think I will have to make a conscious effort to check this with MDS both on AND off, but, with what I remember, I think it does it regardless.

No noticable lag on mine. Perhaps computer just needs to learn your driving habits. My MDS goes off at any slight push of the pedal. It only goes into eco when coasting in higher gears and is never in eco when sitting at a light or doing any acceleration at all. I have a kinda heavy foot and get lousy gas mileage though, but I love the power.

My new intake and exhaust seemed to get rid of most all the throttle lag I was experiencing. The throttle response has seen the most improvement since they were installed.

When you get a tune, itll be fixed (for the most part) With some torque management removed + the increased sensitivity of the throttle, it REALLY picks it up.

I had to take my truck in for a recall today so I returned the PCM to stock. OMG these things are dogs without a tune.

I've always called it hemi Iag, my wifes 300 does not have it, it just jumps low end or mid range. Hard on tires, but every hemi truck I've had has done it some times. My son has a 392 challenger , I dumpted hard first gear I did not think much ,then second to third I thought it was going to pull front wheels the g force was amazing, kinda shook me up and I'm not a new be to hot cars. My express is by far the fastest hemi truck I have owned. But I have noticed less mods out there, mopar used to make performance PCMs for the 5.9s but they stopped with the hemi sucks! The super chips I had for a 6.2 GM gave me huge power from 40mph on not much out of hole, interstate was unreal, any one know when they will be ready for the 2012 hemi?

Too bad there isn't a programmer for the 2011 and 12's. Or are you just rubbing it in?
