A converter will make a big difference as long as you can get traction. The converter is going to allow you to come off the line much harder, but this also means tire spin if your tires dont stick.

will it affect my rpm at 60mph

when flooring let say from a 40mph roll, will it also improve performance or just at initial lunch from zero mph

The converter wont affect your cruising RPM's. If you go WOT from a roll, it almost has a slingshot affect. Depending on what RPM you are at, it feels like the truck revs for a quick second and then launches you forward. This is something that is tough for me to explain though.

I'm talked into doing the gears first, then the convertor! 4.10s & a True-Trac are on the way!

I want to get a converter and most likely will never use N2O so can I get away with say 3000-3400 stall and still have my daily driver experience and the furthest drives I have ahead me is my fiance bringing my truck after basic training (just north of chicago) and my base in pensacola I'm currently located in Jonesboro arkansas

I would stick with a 3000. Any higher is going to bring you out of your powerband too soon, and is going to build more heat. I wouldnt go higher than 3000 unless you have plans to go with a cam that raises your powerband to a higher rpm.
