If you drive normal then no. If you hot rod around, flooring it all the time because it's so fun, then yes.

At first with my converter I noticed no loss in mpg, but I was pretty much driving normal. I've been driving pretty aggressive lately because it's fun, and my mpg has gone down maybe 1 or 2 avg on the tank.

There are actually many guys that claim to have picked up mileage with an aftermarket converter. Like mentioned above though, that wasnt the case for me because I couldnt keep my foot out of the skinny pedal.

A good aftermarket 2600 stall should show a improvement in MPG compared to the stock POS converter.
MIne has improved in the city, and of coarse track times have dropped dramtically.
But your going to have to keep the stall to a reasonable level.

Why anyone would run a 3000 stall or bigger on a daily driver is beyond me.
Its going to drive like shit on the street compared to a lower stall.
And at the track its going to save you a tenth or 2 if your lucky, assuming you have all the mods needed to take advantage of the higher stall.

If you stay under 3,000 rpm stall it will pretty much not be noticeable on the street(with normal driving habits). MPG will be about the same.

As you get closer to 4,000 rpm stall it'll start feeling a little loose on the street. I have a 2,800 stall and if I drive normal you really can't even tell it's any different. 1/4 pedal or less and it drives like stock. 1/4 to 1/2 pedal you start noticing it stall a little higher.

Something to keep in mind is that the newer trucks(2012 and newer) have a better converter than the older trucks. So the mpg increase claims of 3rd and early 4th gen owners may not be true for the new trucks. Still a great upgrade though.

Hey guys quick couple questions I have a 4x4 cc 2011 wondering if installing a 2600 stall and launching in auto 4 would be safe? Also we get some rough winters here as long as I keep my foot outta it I should be ok right?

You have nothing to worry about with winter driving.
The truck will accelerate smoother and drive better,it will not change much unless you decide to launch hard off a light, then it will get you moving in a hurry.
Probably 1 of the best upgrades for the money.

Is it going to spool pretty quick? You might need a looser converter to keep from creeping at the line while trying to build boost.

we are going to tune it on the stock converter to see how she quickly she builds boost. this is also my daily driver. I don't think I'll go to the track more than once a year.
I think it's going to spool pretty good...single 72mm turbo with a .96 A/R
