Thumbs up My Build (pic heavy)

Hey yall. I haven't contributed much to the forum so I thought I would put my story out there on this stormy day.
My first car was a 2001 lifted jeep wrangler. My pop was into (or atleast he thought he was) cruisin off road. He suited it up for every thing possibly needed for off road, but of course, it was never used.

Eventually we decided to sell it and we (I) sold it to a guy who needed something to get around on his ranch. I decided on dodge because my brother had a cummings with a 9 inch lift, smoke stacks, loud tires and anything else that would piss off the neighbors, and he loved it. I got my sport with amazing incentives up in Gainsville, GA. And boy did I love it.

]

When I joined the forum, I was lookin for ideas, and E.L.D 44 made me realize how much my truck could improve. Thank you E.L.D, your'e the man. My first mod was plasti dip. I knew the chrome grill had to go.

I then tried to tint my windows myself, but... it didnt work so well, so I got them done in the shop. I also added a PA system for the fun of it.

After that I was done for while, but I broke my ankle in football, so I went back to work on my truck while it healed. i got a tonno pro bed cover for cheap

and decided on some spyder headlights that i got off ebay.

After seeing some of the pic of beautiful trucks on here i knew the chrome wheels had to go. Picked up some plasti dip from Home Depot for $20 and went to work.

All said and done this is my current ride.

The forum is filled with great and knowledgeable people. Thanks everyone for the help. And shout out to E.L.D. Thanks Yall

Looks great! I'm glad to see you left the black on the B pillar, it looks better that way on white trucks IMO

^^^ I agree with Fast on that. Never once heard of the stuff, thank God I joined this site and heard about it lol.

Debadging can be done by the dealership if it gets to the point you really want it done. Can also take it to a local body shop or something. Though if ya want to do it yourself just use fishing line to "cut" them off and scrape the rest of the felt glue stuff off and then once that is all off and cleaned up I recommend 3M buffing compound to get rid of any swirls or light scratches that may have come from the process.

Considering you have white, you won't see what a black car will see in terms of scratches if any.
If done right, you will not scratch the paint.

Took me about 30 mins to do all...
I just did the HEMI one this morning in 5mins.... from off to shine again.

This is the clip that I followed: I know it says debadge the right way...I don't think there is any 'right way', I just found it to be the easiest for me

Thats the way i used FnU, works really well on a new vehicle, doesn't work so well on the old ones. The sooner you do it the easier!
