Default 1991 D150 no headlights

I just got a 1991 D150 and the headlights don't work. I know the lights are good or at least the brights work from pulling the dimmer switch. I had an extra light switch from another truck that works so I tried it but that didn't work. I checked all the fuses and they were all good. Is there a seperate relay? I have a Haynes repair manual and It doesn't show much about the electrical system on a 1991. The cruise and horn are also not working. I had a 1991 W250 Diesel a few years ago that the cruise, horn, and radio didn't work and it was a fuse link broken under the hood.I am going to check a little deeper this weekend and was hoping for some tips. Thanks!

the headlights are on different system than the cruse and you say if you pull back high beam flash they work. That would indicate that head lights work so somewhere between the light switch and head lights. I would start at the headlights and work my way back. as for cruze and other problems ? Make sure all grounds are good. You knew that anyway but for those reading this.

It could be at plug. The driverside is main plug and pass light is also a part of that plug. The relay if it was bad you would have no headlights at all and that can be contributed to a ground out. Its an auto reset relay. Also check wire from fire wall to driver head ilght.

When you say you tried a "light switch" from another truck are you talking about dash or column because it sounds to me like the multi-function switch on the column is bad.

Mine did this at one point and it ended up being the dimmer switch (or bright switch) in the floor. I think it was like $15 but hopefully that may be it. good luck!
