Can you see the shiny bolts around the outside of the wheel?

Well this is what it is, cheap black plastic that has been chromed, thats what you get when your products are made in china I guess

So after drilling and tapping, they are ready to go to be powder coated, the 7/16 bolts are simply meant to protect the threads, I have ordered 50 stainless Allan head bolts 7/16 x 1/2 inch long, dam things are almost 2 bucks each

My brother saw what I was doing to these brand new wheels, even though they are my wheels, I thought he was going to cry, so hopefully by the end of next week I will have BLACK wheels, oh and I never got a picture of them, but the center caps they sent with the grey wheels, are jet black, go figure.

Tim, this is going to look great!
I can already picture it.
Where did you source out the allan head bolts? Did you really drill out those holes?
$100 for wheels that will be totally customer will be very different and rewarding.
If I had enough balls to drill into my rims, I would too

Couldnt agree more.
This is why I didnt go with the XD wheels as they were matte and our trucks are shiny.
Matte black wheels IMO look good on any other color but black as there is contrast.
On a black vehicle, they just look dirty/dusty.

Do the gloss

Tim, I was just thinking too that $450 (refinish and bolts) is pretty cheap.
I had custom wheels done for my car and they charged me $450 just for a gun metal tint and $250 to hide the bolts/rivets and $500 to lighten the wheel even more.
That was on top of the rims and tires.
So $450 is not bad at all.....plus you get the rims you want.
Its a win/win

Yeah, it will come in at just under $500.00, $75.00 per wheel and $190.00 for bolts, my buddy at the dealership gave me a deal on my 37" tires, BFG All Terrains for $350.00 each, those things are like $472.00 out of the states, so maybe next week.

Truck goes in next week for a leak in the back window, I also have to have the front bumper cover removed and painted, came out of Walmart, walked to the back 40 where my truck was and found a shopping cart laying on my bumper, 2 nice gouges on the bumper and small scratch on my head light, I'm having them drop the rear end while it is up in the air for the oil change, and have them drop my springs and insert the air bags. Aux switches will arrive next week as well, since they are not momentary switches, they may not serve the purpose, but will make good future light switches, now I'm thinking power window swithches to activate the comprssor, one of these should work
