Default What are your thoughts on Body lifts

just like the title says was wondering what you guys had for thoughts on body lifts i see that their is a 1.75 kit offered by readilift which i think would go nicely witht the 2.5 level its available with to . I've never been a fan of body lifts having gaps between body extending certain parts but i don't think this small of one would hurt any, what are the disadvantages to body lifted should i stay away or go for it?

Personally I think body lifts ride too rough. I also don't like the look of them unless you get gap guards and all of that.

Default body lift issues?

i just installed my 1.25 levelling kit, seems very good love the stance. but i have noticed a couple things whether they were like that before or the body lift cause them i not sure i could very well be just looking listening to close and the could of been doing it before just paying to much attention now. but heres the issues, i notice a small squeak from the driver side rear of the cab. what from the body lift could cause this, bracket not tight enough? anything like that. could very well of been doing itbeofre but I'm just noticing it now.
second when i shift from park or into park i notice a clunking grinding however you want to describe it, what from the body lift would cause that? linkages extended? or what. any info would be great.

After a couple days you should recheck the body mount bolts, especially the bed mounts. When I put the RC 1.25" kit on my truck in less than a week I had a number of "squeaks" and when I checked a few of the bolts needed to be re-torqued. I also had to have the wiring harness to the front drivetrain extended, I unknowingly pulled it apart when I raised the cab. I don't know what to say about your grinding/clunking issues, I can't imagine such a small lift would cause any issues... sorta doubt there's even any linkage to worry about, everything is electronic.

In my opinion it's highly doubtful, but I'm no mechanic either...
