Default Question for anyone who upgraded their gears

Got my trucks build sheet and found out it only has 3.21's which would explan a lot. I and to go to a 3.73 or 4.10 and wanted to know how much the average cost on gears and labor. I have a 2wd so I only need the rear. Not sure why someone would buy a crew cab with those gears but I got stuck with them.

where did you have your done, dealer or other shop and prices. i spend my time on ls1 and 5.0, cars most trucks i have bought came properly geared for my needs.
Anyone with a recommendation for a Houston based shop would be a great help. Looking for good quality and a reasonable price.

I went from 3.92 to 4.56

I got the gears for 200 and install for 350...
I bought the Motive gears and they whine fairly loud at two different speeds. I am debating about changing brands to Yukon.

I had motive's in a car and tossed them they do whine a bit. I went with GM gear set. I wanted a dodge set or something other than richmond or Motive. Was mostly curious about the labor for install.
3.92 would probably be a good setup for my needs. Where did you have them done a local shop or dealership?

I bought the G2s and dumped my 3.55s for 4.10s. Don't remember the gear cost but I also threw in a Tru-trac and a mag hytec cover. Labor for everything was either $325 or $350...it's been a few years. pretty much zero whine.

I'm thinking of ditching the 4.56's for 4.10's... If I do decide I might just toss my 3.92's back in, I don't think there is big enough of a difference between 3.92 and 4.10 to warrant buying 4.10's.

My buddy has a jacked up h2 and does a lot of paint work for local shops so.I am going to call home and see if I can get a hook up . I saw one jacked up ram he painted in a lifted magazine so I may see what they will charge for the g2's
