my95ram is on a distinguished road
Default just turns over

i replaced my transmission in my 95 ram 1500 5.9L and now it wont start just turns over....i was told that it could be my crank sensor but then i was told that if i have a distributer i wont have a crank sensor ????? is this true or not ?

thats what i thought also.. so does crank sensor sound right ???? or could it be something else ?

I'd check the wiring on the crank sensor and then pull it if necessary. I usually pull 'em before I do a trans swap so it's not too far fetched that it may have gotten damaged.

I'm sure that if you did the trans you noticed the little squares on the flywheel. For lack of a better term the sensor picks them up like Morse code and works with the dist to sent spark/timing to the cylinders. dot dot dash...

Make sure nothing got pinched in the bell housing and check it for spark while cranking it.
