Default 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7L Mods

Been reading thru some pages here, not many mod'ing their 2010 yet? Bought mine used 17k miles 10 months old 1/2 price of a new one in 2011. Anyways started researching some upgrades:

K&N cold air intake on order.
Exhaust: Getting quotes for 2.25" stainless dual exhuast from the cats back, flowmaster 40 series.

chip?? Diablo?? also.. Should I start looking for a better intake/throttle body etc? with better injectors?

and YES, the warrenty is up, hit 40k on the mileage today!

thanks

I also bought my 2010 9 months old and got it for less than 1/2 price of a new truck

Intake: Really just up to you. I'd recommend one that has an enclosed airbox(colder air). I personally run a drop in airaid filter and MIT tube, and am working on a ram air scoop. Cheap and the best setup.

Exhaust: Duals are fine(2.25" would be a good size, don't go any bigger than 2.5") but make sure to put a crossover(h pipe or x pipe) or you will lose power. I'd stay away from flowmaster(chambered muffler) if you want performance, look at magnaflow, dynomax, or any other straight through type.

Tuner: Diablo is good but I'd go with superchips. I have one and it's great. 60hp and 67lb ft max gain on 93 octane. That IS more than diablo, and plus you get transmission tuning.

Just installed the K & N 63-1529 High Performance Air Filter Intake Kit, pretty satisfied with it the past few days!! Definetly tell a difference in the engine, plus my sons love the sound of it when I slam the peddle down. Sunday I am dropping the truck off at the shop for the true duel exhuast: stainless steel 2.50", cat back on each run, not using flowmasters, going with a flow thru stainless muffler.

Still would like a supercharger, talked with RDP in ohio today. Said they could build me a custom sc for it and tune the engine, might be a little higher then I want to spend atm.

Got to wait for next paycheck on the superchip/diablo still need to more research on them.

Cool. If you want forced induction I'd recommend turbo as it'll be custom built either way and turbo will be a better setup(more power and better mpg).

^awesome Nicolas! What blower is that? It should bolt right up, the only things that should be different are maybe you will need to make a TB adapter and the tuning.

Its a 1.5l Kenne bell supercharger. It should bolt right up. Already have someone building me The throttle body adapters. Im going to be using a standalone tuner and will be doing my own tuning.

That's awesome. Keep us updated! I'd be interesting in this since it seems like such an easy setup. Way easier than a custom turbo setup...

Well Im 1/2 way done my my upgrades:

K&N CAI (done)
Stainless Steel Dual exhuast from the cats back (done)
Tuner (next paycheck)
SuperCharger (still looking)

I did find out today from dodge garage, the 08-10 4.7 intake is the same. Both have the same factory part number for the intake. So.. hopefully I can find something a SC that will bolt up.
