Default Body Kit Questions

Hey guys, just bought my Ram and it has a few mods to it that I am looking to change. I think the first thing I want to do is lift it and put some new wheels on it. Only problem is that it currently has a bodykit on it. Anyone have any experience with bodykits and how to remove them? If I had to guess, I'd say they are bolt on. Also, after looking at it last night, it looks like the original rear bumper is still on the truck. It looks like the kit was just put over it....

Here is the contact forum for VFiber. Maybe they can provide any suggestions on removing the kit.

Link to full kit in case you want part #'s

Looks to be fiberglass/polyurethane which means it's just going to be bolted in vs welded which means it can be unbolted.

Thanks man, I'll see if they have any suggestions. I'd like to try to sell it if I can salvage it lol.

Man why would you want to lift a truck that has already been set uo for street. A lot of work and wasted money. Truck looks good as it is.

I should add that I don't necessarily like the body kit but does if have a hard drop on it?

That kit looks awful, I don't blame you for wanting to get rid of it. If it is already lowered you will have some work ahead of you rasing it back up, finding one already lifted or at least stock height may have been a better idea.

What's up Ghost? It does look okay as is, just not really my style. The truck is also a 4x4 and it doesn't make much sense to me to have a 4x4 like that. The previous owner said he put a drop it on it, but it doesn't seem that low to me...some friends of mine said he probably just put some shackles or something on it.

Lonestar, I got a really good deal on it and everything else is in good condition. Also has really low milage for the year. Hopefully it won't be too hard to get it back to at least stock height.

Is it a 2wd? Is it a spindle drop? I still have my stock spindles, also have a set of SRT-10 quad cab front springs that will actually level it out and improve handling at the same time if you're interested. Someone else was interested but backed out so I still have them.

It's a 4wd and I have no idea what kind of drop it has on it. All the previous owner said was that he put a drop kit on it. It doesn't seem that low (ride height) so the low appearance seems to be mostly from the body kit.

I plan to take it to a shop to see if they can tell me what the previous owner did, then I can figure out what I need to do...I'll let you know if I need those stock spindles once I know more.
