Default Stubborn horn

I have had an issue since my 2012 was new and have lived iwth iot...but its a real pain!

Cant just tap the horn to beep at someone.....have to lean on the horn pad hard and fully for it to work.

NEVER had a vehicle where it was so hard to beep the horn! Anyone else?

I thought so, but wasn't sure. It seems like there is a slight delay between hitting the horn and it making a sound, maybe a half second. I thought it was my imagination.

Yup, mine is that same way. I just figured they designed it that way, maybe so if you accidentally hit it, the horn doesn't go off? I just plan this half second delay accordingly, hold it for a quick second to do a quick honk.

Same thing here. But it seams when I accidentally hit the horn it goes off too easy

..and after the half second delay,
it delivers a minimum half second 'beep'.. too much !

I have never gotten just a short bip .. lol aggravating

When I want to hit the horn, I rarely hit it hard enough.
When I don't want to hit the horn, it's much easier.
LOL

This is the new can-bus electrical system at work. Rather than a direct wire from the horn-steering wheel switch-and battery, you send a request to the computer to sound the horn which causes the slight delay.

Gotta love technology!

That sounds reasonable, although it sucks. It seems that a safety feature like a horn should be directly wired for instant response.
