I like the guy that told him he did it wrong...do the fuel system first. 25 lbs in the tank and then the intake...

I almost wish I had started a thread for a guy's car I worked on. He had a Mercedes 500 SEL I think it was.

Anyway he brought it in because all the windows were acting up wouldn't go down, part way down, etc...

I pull the door panels off and they're filled with tennis balls. I take 'em all out and fill two 5 gallon buckets. Try the windows and everything works great.

I come to find out he put them in there for "side impact protection"...so I was like, uh when did you put them in there?? and he was like...a couple days ago...why?

Then I ask him...when did the windows start screwing up???

Need I say more?

This HAS to be some A-hole going on different forums typing in this crap. There is no way that people are doing this kind of thing on a regular basis. Yes, I know people are stupid, but come on man, really?????? This guy has to be following these threads and getting a kick out of all the guys (including me) that have reacted to them.

Wow amazing. Where do some of these people come up with this stuff. Your driving a Mercedes and you put Tennis balls to add more protection to side impact... Did they stuff pillows in the trunk?

Sometimes I think I'm going crazy too, then I realize it's not me.

I have been looking at the retirement brochure and it's starting to look kinda nice...

Had a guy with a truck bed full of scrap metal come into the AR (yeah, I'm back again) drive past TWO piles of metal, almost pull into the warehouse. Gets out, "hey, where do I throw this junk out?!" I pointed back to one of the piles, "See that pile over there?"
Dude: "yeah"
me: "Just back up there to that pile and throw it out there."
dude: "Wait, where do I throw it out?"
me: "that pile just past that old van, see what I'm talking about?"
Dude: "yeah"
Dude: "What pile do I throw this in?"

15minutes later finally got him to the pile....after I hung my head and just said, watch me...
