Exclamation Door Lock Actuator

I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT. The front drivers side door actuator has gone out. It cost around $80.00 to replace the part. The downside is it costs $150.00 to install the part at a dealer. I opened up the door panel and it looks very hard to get to and install all the parts back. I want to do it myself but it looks very hard.

Do I need special tools or parts to install the new door lock actuator?

How do I get to that hard to reach area?

Any information, pictures, videos, etc. would be a big help!

Regards,
Cody

here is a link that may help you: http://www.ehow.com/how_7619739_repl...-actuator.html

They are a little tricky to get the rods back on, but they aren't hard. Use a small mirror to look into the door with a flashlight so that you can see how it all lines up before you go messing with it. I wouldn't be scared to tackle it. I don't trust people touching my stuff. you have to learn sometime! Good luck.

Thanks for the help. I fixed it yesterday. The dealer wanted to charge me $150. That's so bull it only took me 30 minutes to replace.
