Exclamation wont engage in park or reverse

i have a 2001 Dodge ram 2500 4x4 with the 5.9L 360 magnum and the 46RE transmission. aftermarket stuff includes: 3 inch suspension lift, headers, 2 inch throttle body spacer, and cold air intake. after backing up a slight incline for a short distance (maybe 20 ft) then driving about 5-6 miles and parking it for 2-3 minutes, i went to back up out of my parking spot, and it wouldnt go backwards. then after driving another 5-6 miles, went to park again, and it started rolling backwards. i have never had any problems with the transmission.

Could be in need of a band adjustment, rear band. That or, or maybe an issue with the shift linkage or the valve body. Maybe the rooster comb is broken. Only way to find out is to take the pan off.
