Default Has anyone redone the rear 4-link into something better?

I'm doing the 2/4 drop, Hellwig sway bars and Spohn adjustable panhard bar...but I see a lot of potential back there for even better handling.
Has anyone built some real link bars with heim joints and ditched the stock springs and shocks for coilovers?

I'd love to see some pics if anyone has.

Don't want bags. I ordered the Spohn upper and lower rear bars last night...those should help.
Trying to get info to order my QA1 shocks now and will look into changing to a true coilover later.

I'll see if I can MGH to chime in here. He's done some nice work to his truck....IIRC a custom 4/6 drop, AWD conversion and the rear suspension is his next project.

I'm running the adjustable spohn panhard bar with a 2/4 drop but stock swaybars. let me know what you think about their upper and lower control arms. I'm thinking about trying them out if wheel hop becomes a problem.

I just bought my ram a few months ago. I will be fixing the needed ball joints, inner and outter tie rods, upper control arms, end links and sway bar bushings all moog with a coilover setup if possible. Once that is done i wanted to start on the rear but have no thoughts how im going to do as you said a coilover conversion. Would I have to design an indipendent rear suspension or do you guys think I can mount them to the axle and weld in braces/strut towers and mounts under the bed and keep the leafs?

I think you should spend some time researching coilover rear suspensions. All you'll effectively be doing is adding helper springs to your shocks. Your leaf springs will still support the truck. If you strip the leaf pack down to a single leaf and let the coilover support the truck the axle wrap will be so bad you'll probably pull the slip yoke out of the trans. LOL

I have been running coilovers all 4 corners for over 3 years. I am running Koni up front and QA1 out back.

Did you already order the upper/lower rear control arms. I was wondering about these as well. I know back in my Mustang days these were one of the must haves. I would be interested in a set also if you can feel the difference.
