when i turn my ac off for a minute and turn it back on theres smoke or fogg coming out of the air vent in the dsh (the four air vent facing the cabin not the windshield air vent) for about 5 or 10 seconds

Mine doesn't do it, but.... It sounds like water vapor from condensate on the A/C evaporator that is now blowing out. Put your hand over the "smoking" vent and see if your hand gets wet with water.

I used to have a 98' Ram 1500 and it had a similar problem. If there is a sweet smell to the vapor, like maple syrup, it could be your heater core. It is a relatively cheap fix if this is the case, just be prepared to put in a few hours of work

You got it, just water vapor when it's warm and humid and you turn on the A/C

I have a 2000 ram 1500 with a 5.9L engine. It does the same thing with the vapor but also it sometimes blows out something that looks like white powder. A very light stream of it blows out sometimes. sometimes it will stop and then come back. Does anyone know what that is? oh and if anyone can tell me how much coolant my system holds that would be TITS! oh yea, and ALSO.....when I am driving with the air on often when I come to a stop or slow down I hear the sound like you cover a vaccum with your hand or vaccum something up and it gets stuck....followed by blowing hot air...wtf is that? ANYONE PLEASE???
