So far with about 1800 miles on my 1500 BigHorn with 3.92 gear it's 14.8 town / 18 Hwy and about 11.5 towing a 6500lb. camper. Not bad. About what's expected, but LOVE the towing umph.

what is this "miles per gallon" you speak of .....honestly couldn't tell you what I get in mine....when I moved the family to Cali before I headed to Korea, had a few things in the truck and the biggest uhaul trailer (combined total weight of 10,600 lbs)....I think we figured it out to 11-13 and that was running 75-80....wasn't great, but it looked good....her however (she was drafting me) was getting 23-26 in her SRT with the kids lol

Seriously?! My truck has been getting horrible gas compared to many here. 60% hwy and 40% city and I've been averaging 15/16 mpg - in Nebraska. I drive very conservative too. Do you think it's because I often use my cruise control lever to accelerate anytime over 25mph? Thoughts

I would guess you are using 10% ethenal blend. That can have an effect, in my experience. I have taken road trips West where ethanol isn't an option and end up with nicely improved gas mileage (+10%-15%) and it goes back down once I'm home.

Just curious. . . why do you use cruise control to accelerate?

Angry

I wouldn't complain about the #'s I see in this thread. On the hi Way I get 15-16.5 MPG if I'm taking it easy, but a friend told me he get's better MPG with Shell fuel.... so naturally I tried it and I got 17.5 MPG on a regular root (and I wasn't taking it easy that time). I didn't know the computer could count that high. My Dad says he puts injector cleaner in once a year and that helps allot, I bought it but haven't put it in yet.
