Default Transmission Problem?

Hey Guys,
I was wondering, because i know that dodge has had issues with the transmissions in the trucks, when or if they had fixed the issue. Like what year? Im only asking because i pulled a camper with my truck just once and now its a pain in the butt to drive. Going up even the slightest hill, i need my foot to the floor just to come out of overdrive. It doesnt down shift when i go to pass someone. It just doesnt seem to be the rocket that it used to be. And, i have had a really wierd vibration only while its in drive. Is there something wrong with it or is it normal?

Until it's fixed, if you're not already doing so, I'd suggest that you turn off overdrive manually before you try to pass or start up a hill. I'm not much help on diagnosing transmissions, but it might just be electronic. I wonder if you're Throttle Position Sensor (TPS), or maybe your vehicle speed sensor, could be having a problem. Basically, the computer constantly monitors the vehicle speed and the throttle position. Simply put, when you push your foot down, it detects the throttle opening up, so it tells the trans to downshift. I'm knew to these vehicles myself, so I don't know about the speed sensor setup(s), but if the speedometer is working correctly and the same speed sensor is used for transmission control, then it may not be a problem with the speed sensor.
