I want to get a tonneau cover before winter so my hockey gear isn't always soaked in snow before ice time. I want something that folds & is easy to take off. In the summer it will be off for the quad. It's a 2012 ram 1500 if that's important.
I just installed a Extang Solid Fold on a 2014 CC with 5.7' bed. They are not water tight, but very close. The cover leaves a small gap at the front bed rail corners, the weatherstrip can not conform to the drop where side rails meet the front rail. You will need the tailgate weather seal to take care of the sides and bottom gap. Definitely an easy install and easy on and off. I paid $669.00 with free shipping from Truck Champs.com.
I went with the undercover flex. It folds, easy on and off and really watertight (no leaks yet through all the Vegas rain and floods we just had). It folds up far enough and secured without flopping around like the backflip. You may be able to get you 4 wheeler in without removing it.
Undercover Flex, Extang Trifecta, or any of the Bak products are always a good choice if you would like pricing on any of these let us know we would be more than happy to get you hooked up If you have any other questions feel free to ask!
I've got a truxedo edge, it rolls, doesn't fold. Taking it off is a pain, but rolled up I don't lose any bed space, seriously. And I got it on Amazon for a little over $200, had it on for two years now, through wet and cold climates haven't had a single leak.
