Default No Heat Dodge Ram 1500 2000

I have a Dodge Ram 1500 year 2000. When I first purchased the truck the heater and A/C worked perfectly. The A/C still works like a champ but today I decided to give it a spin and take it to starbucks (I only drive my truck in bad weather so during the summer it doesn't get a lot of drive time) and I turned on the heater because its a bit chilly this morning. Nothing, it just blew cold air.

I know the A/C is working great, the only thing that I have had done to the truck was I had the water pump replaced, I doubt that could be causing the issue. I guess I can check the fuses and see if its just a fuse... I assume there is a fuse for the blend door or heater?

There isn't any odd noise or clicking, or even an odd odor the truck just doesn't send out heat... I know that is a vague explanation but I can't hear or see anything out of the ordinary. Does anyone have any idea on things I can check before I take it to the shop?

It sounds like on the electronic side everything is working properly (Fan etc).

How much time did you give it to warm up before trying the heat?

Did the A/C switch from vent to floor etc?

Is the coolant full?

I'd say those are the starting points for any of our members to respond further.

Thanks for the info... I guess I didn't let it warm up enough, I ended up letting it warm up in the drive way for about 10min then drive it around the neighborhood and all of a sudden I got some heat.

It seemed odd it took so long.. I also noticed the heat guage rose for a while and then when the heat kicked in it dropped back to the middle and stared blowing hot air.
