GhostR1der, as far as your question regarding the small filter replacing your PVC tube, you can run just that crankcase breather filter but you will have to inspect it more often for oil saturation vice the catch can method of draining and having a longer drain or emptying period. Now as far as your local state inspection center is concerned, a catch can would most likely pass and not the small filter. Reason being is the catch can does not release any foreign matter into the atmosphere where as the small synthetic or paper filter element if left for too long could become saturated and start dripping to the ground and or atmosphere, or worse case scenario, onto your hot engine, exhaust manifold or headers.

Thanks. Where can I get a quality catch can for cheap? So I just replace the breather all together?
